Gerard Ryan

Gerard is a very experienced and flexible medical and security trainer who has spent many years working in difficult and at time dangerous locations mainly in the fields of operations and training in Ireland, the Middle East and Africa. He retired from the Irish Defence Forces in 2011, having served 33 years where he worked mainly in armoured reconnaissance and medical units.

Gerard is a paramedic, ambulance driver and instructor with the Ambulance Service and is qualified to Instructor level in many areas including Emergency First Responder, Occupational First Aid and Advanced Cardiac First Responder.

Gerard has been a trainer and consultant with Eurocheck since 2012 providing training and medial advice to Irish and international NGOs, human rights workers and volunteers travelling to or working in hostile environments and conflict areas.
